TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Information on how to enter the competition and prizes forms part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
1. Organising Promoter:
The promoter is: (a) in Australia, Sephora Australia Pty Ltd (ABN: 96058 696 549) Level 11, 32 Martin Place, Sydney 2000 (the “Promoter”).
2. Eligible participants:
Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged eighteen (18) years and above. Entry is also open to residents of Australia and New Zealand below eighteen (18) years of age at the time of submitting their entry if they have obtained their parent and/or guardian’s consent to participate in the competition.
The Promoter reserves the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of any person in relation to this competition, and the Promoter may at any time before, during or after the competition restrict, prohibit or disqualify any person from participating in the competition who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of this competition or acts in a way that breaches these terms and conditions. Without prejudice to the foregoing, the following persons are excluded from entering the competition: (i) employees of the Promoter and/or its related entities, and their immediate family; and/or proprietors and staff of companies involved in the production, publishing and administration of the Competition, and their immediate family. For the avoidance of doubt, “immediate family” includes parents, siblings, spouse, children and grandparents.
3. Duration:
The competition commences on the 4th March 2025 00:00 and concludes on the 31st March 2025 23:59 local time (the “Competition Period”).
4. Details of Prize:
One winner from Australia and one winner from New Zealand will be selected to win a Byoma Prize Pack valued at approximately $160 AUD/NZD). Sephora’s Gift Bags may include sample-sized and/or full-sized products from either the skincare, haircare, fragrance, body and/or make-up categories, and will be chosen at Sephora’s sole and absolute discretion. The giveaway is in no way sponsored or endorsed by the brands in the Gift Bag.
5. Promotion conditions and mechanics:
To enter, simply make a valid transaction during the Competition Period on Sephora.com.au. Each valid transaction will provide the participant with one entry. A valid transaction refers to an online order for which check-out and payment have been successfully completed and received respectively, and for which an order confirmation has been issued from the Promoter. There is no limit to the number of entries for each participant. Multiple entries are allowed. All participants are required to have a registered Beauty Pass account to receive and redeem the prize.
6. Draw and selection of winners:
This is a game of chance and one winner from Australia and one winner from New Zealand will be selected by a random draw on 10th April 2025 at 12:00 AEDT at Sephora’s Sydney Australia, Head Office, Level 11, 32 Martin Place, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
7. Notification of winners:
The winner will be contacted directly via email by the 15th April 2025 from a current Sephora team member based in Sephora’s Sydney Australia, Head Office, Level 11, 32 Martin Place, Sydney, NSW, Australia only and their name and state/territory of residence will be published in https://www.sephora.com.au/terms?section=Beauty%20Pass on 15/04/2025 for a period of 28 days. If you receive any messages about this giveaway from other secondary/lookalike sources, please disregard and report them to Sephora Australia.
8. Prize Claim Date and Time:
The winner must then reply to this message by 13:00 AEDT / AEST on 15th June 2025 in order to accept the prize. The winner must supply his/her name, email, date of birth, address to receive the prize and phone number in his/her acceptance response via direct email to the Promoter. If any prize has not been accepted or claimed in accordance with the Prize Claim Date and Time or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the drawn winner (or the drawn winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim Date and Time, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid.
9. Unclaimed Prize Draw Details:
If a prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date and Time or if an entrant or entry is deemed invalid in accordance with these terms & conditions, the Promoter will conduct an Unclaimed Prize Draw to award the unclaimed prize/s on [insert date and time] at the same location as the original prize draw.
- Any winner/s in the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by email within two days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw and their name and state/territory of residence will be published https://www.sephora.com.au/terms?section=Beauty%20Pass on 15/04/2025 for a period of 28 days.
11. Distribution of prizes:
The Promoter will send the prize to the winners address via post to an address nominated by the winner in Australia or New Zealand (as applicable). Please allow up to 21 working days for the prize to be delivered. The Promoter and/or its affiliates shall not responsible for any shipment delays exhibited by postal services. The Promoter will bear the transit costs of the Gift Bags to the winners.
12. Verification of identity:
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this competition. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this competition.
13. Participant’s Undertaking:
Each participant shall be solely responsible for ensuring that his/her participation in this competition is not illegal or prohibited by the laws or regulations of any country relevant or applicable to the participant. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an otherwise eligible person from winning a prize and/or substitute another person as the winner in the event that the Promoter, in its sole and absolute discretion, believes that the particular person may have contravened, will contravene or has contravened any of these terms & conditions and/or may bring the Promoter and/or its affiliates into disrepute. In the event a prize has already been awarded and/or distributed to such a person, the prize must be returned to the Promoter at such person’s sole cost and expense.
14. No responsibility:
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the competition.
15. Exclusion of Liability:
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its affiliates and each of their officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss (including loss of opportunity), damage, expense or other costs arising in connection with the competition, including, but not limited to, any of the following:
any loss, damages or expense caused by or attributable in whole or in part to any participant’s own act, omission, default or failure to comply with any of the conditions set out in these terms & conditions;
any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary costs, claims, expenses, loss or damages, even if informed of the possibility of such costs, claims, expenses, loss, and damage;
any equipment, system, satellite, network, server or connection failure, error, omission, interruption, delay in transmission, computer virus or other malicious, destructive, or corrupting code, agent program, or macros (whether or not under Sephora’s control), including where any entry is not successfully completed as a result;
any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference;
any claim that the prize(s) is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not it is after receipt by Sephora) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
any tax liability incurred by a winner or claimant; or
the acceptance and/or use by a winner of the prize or an element of a prize.
Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) (as applicable).
16. Sephora’s Rights
(a) The Promoter’s decision regarding the award of all prizes in accordance with these terms and conditions, shall be final and binding on all participants in the contest, and, subject to any written directions from the relevant authorities, no queries, challenges or appeals may be made or entertained regarding the Promoter’s decision on the same.
(b) Subject to any written directions from the relevant authorities, the Promoter reserves the right, to suspend, postpone or amend the competition
(c) If any prize or an element of a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize or element of a prize of similar or greater value at the Promoter's sole discretion, subject to any written directions from the relevant authorities. The winners will not be entitled to any additional compensation in the event that the prize or any part thereof has been substituted at equal or greater value.
(d) Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
17. Personal Data:
By participating in the competition, submitting an entry and providing the required entry information, the entrant agrees that the Promoter may collect, use, process and/or disclose the entrant’s personal information for the purposes and in the manner set out in these terms & conditions as well as Sephora’s privacy policy at www.sephora.com.au (for Australian participants). If you do not provide us with your personal information, you may not enter this competition.
Without prejudice to the above, entrants agree that the Promoter may collect, use, process and/or disclose personal information for the following purposes:
(a) to process, conduct, administer and fulfil the competition, including sending e-mails and other electronic messages and/or telephoning participants in connection with the competition and disclosing personal data to third parties such as agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers;
(B) publishing their name and/or associated entry on the Promoters’ websites and associated social media pages including Instagram; and
(c) for promotional, advertising, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes in connection with the competition and the Promoter’s business without any further reference or payment to the entrant.
Entrants may access a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policies available at www.sephora.com.au (Australia) which contain information on how entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information, or make a privacy complaint. 18. No endorsement:
In participating in this competition entrants are providing information to the Promoter. Each entrant acknowledges that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with the brands in the Gift Bag. Any queries, comments or complaints about this competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to the brands included in the Gift Bag.
19. Intellectual Property:
Any trademarks, graphic symbols, logos or other intellectual property contained in any materials used in connection with this competition, in particular that relate to the prizes, are the property of their respective owners. The Promoter and its affiliates and contractors are not affiliated with, or endorsed or sponsored by, such owners and their relevant affiliates.
Beauty Pass Terms & Conditions (Australia)

1. Membership & Eligibility
The Sephora Beauty Pass Program ("Program") is a rewards program offered by Sephora Australia Pty Ltd and Sephora Digital SEA Pte. Ltd. ("Sephora") to customers resident in Australia. Membership to the Program ("Membership") is limited to individuals only and is limited to one account per individual. Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of Sephora and its affiliates are eligible for Membership but may be excluded from certain promotions. You must be age 18 years or older and a legal resident of Australia to be eligible for Membership. Eligible minors must obtain their parent's or legal guardian's consent prior to participation. By submitting an application for Membership in the Program, you agree (or, if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian agrees) to be bound by these terms and conditions ("Terms"). A purchase is necessary to become a member. Affiliates of Sephora may also have similar customer programs; Membership in the Program does not confer any rights or benefits in the program of any other Sephora affiliate.
2. Earning and Redeeming Program Rewards
Under the Program, you earn one (1) Beauty Pass Point at the rate specified on the Program website (“Program Website”) when you purchase merchandise (excluding the purchase of e-gift cards, gift cards and shipping costs) in Sephora stores and online (Australia, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand) and online (Philippines)(“Eligible Markets”).
In order to earn points on in-store purchases, you must present your virtual Beauty Pass card on the Sephora Mobile App at the point of purchase as a form of verification before any points can be credited to your Beauty Pass Account.
For online purchases, you must ensure that you are logged in to your Beauty Pass Account at the point of purchase to have any points credited.
Points may be redeemed for rewards ("Rewards") subject to these Terms and further details set out on http://www.sephora.com.au/beauty-pass (the “Program Website”). Details of the Rewards available and how to redeem these Rewards are on the Program Website , including any limits or conditions on redeeming Rewards.
Subject to the termination provision of these Terms:
Points accumulated on and from 1st July 2023 will now be valid for ONE (1) year from the date that the relevant order is placed (“Earn Date”). All unused Points will be automatically forfeited without notice on the last day of the month one year from the relevant Earn Date. To illustrate, Points which are earned on an order placed in the month of November 2023 will expire on 30th November 2024 and be automatically forfeited. There shall be no extension of time for the validity period of any Points, and all expired Points cannot be reinstated.
Points accumulated between 1 January 2023 and 30 June 2023 will remain valid until 30 June 2024, upon which all unused Points will expire and be automatically forfeited without notice. There shall be no extension of time for such Points beyond 30 June 2024 and all expired Points cannot be reinstated.
Points accumulated before 1 January 2023 will remain valid until 26 December 2023, upon which all unused Points will expire and be automatically forfeited without notice. There shall be no extension of time for such Points beyond 26 December 2023 and all expired Points cannot be reinstated.
Points may be redeemed for Rewards to be determined by Sephora in its sole discretion; provided, however, that in order to redeem your points for any Reward, you must (i) accumulate a minimum number of points as established by Sephora, and (ii) make an additional purchase of merchandise from Sephora at the time that you redeem your points. Program members are able to redeem no more than one of each Reward per transaction. Program members cannot redeem more than 5 of any one unique Reward per year. Points have no cash value and can only be redeemed for Rewards. Sephora may, in its discretion, allow points to be redeemable for other items of merchandise from time to time. However, points are never redeemable for cash. time.
For in-store redemptions using Beauty Pass Points, you must present your virtual Beauty Pass card on the Sephora Mobile App at the point of redemption and inform the cashier about the reward that you wish to redeem.
For online redemptions, you must ensure that you are logged in to your Beauty Pass Account at the point of purchase and select the reward before checkout. You must make an additional purchase of merchandise from Sephora at the time that you redeem your points. Program members are able to redeem no more than one of each Reward per transaction.
Rewards are available with point redemption while supplies last and substitutions by Sephora may occur. If your online order is not completed during the same visit, the Rewards will be removed from your shopping basket and may no longer be available. You are not required to redeem a Reward during checkout. Due to the limited nature of the Rewards, we regret that we are unable to reship Rewards if they arrive damaged, if you received the wrong one or if one is missing from your order. In the event a Reward arrives damaged, you received the wrong one, or one is missing from your order, please contact Sephora customer service or visit your local Sephora store. Otherwise, Rewards may not be returned or exchanged. If a Reward becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sephora's control, Sephora may substitute a Reward of equal or greater value. Rewards are shipped with merchandise purchases ONLY. The retail value of the Reward does not count toward Sephora’s free shipping threshold.
3. Sephora Black
Sephora Black status is conferred on those registered Beauty Pass members who spend a minimum of A$300 on merchandise (excludes the purchase of e-gift cards, gift cards, taxes and/or shipping) online and in Australia Sephora stores within 365 days from their first purchase. Sephora Black status is good for 365 days from the date the Beauty Pass member qualifies; after that, annual requalification is required. Sephora may, in its sole discretion, alter, limit, or modify the Sephora Black program rules, regulations, benefits, eligibility for membership, or any other feature of the Sephora Black program or may terminate the Sephora Black program at any time in its sole discretion, by giving reasonable notice on the website and/or by email. 4. Sephora Gold
Sephora Gold status is conferred on those registered Beauty Pass members who spend a minimum of A$1,500 on merchandise (excludes the purchase of e-gift cards, gift cards, taxes and/or shipping) online, and in Australia Sephora stores within 365 days from the time of qualification of the Sephora Black status. Sephora Gold status is good for 365 days from the date the Beauty Pass member qualifies; after that, annual requalification is required. Sephora may, in its sole discretion, alter, limit, or modify the Sephora Gold program rules, regulations, benefits, eligibility for membership, or any other feature of the Sephora Gold program or may terminate the Sephora Gold program at any time in its sole discretion, by giving reasonable notice on the website and/or by email. 5. Sephora Welcome Kit
New Sephora Black and Gold members will receive a complimentary welcome reward (“Welcome Reward”). Welcome Reward is available for redemption in-store in Australia Sephora stores (no purchase is necessary) or online at sephora.com.au during check-out along with any purchase of merchandise from Sephora at the time of redemption. Welcome Reward must be redeemed in your country of membership registration or communication country i.e. in-store in Australia Sephora stores or online at sephora.com.au.
For in-store redemption, you must present your virtual Beauty Pass card on the Sephora Mobile App and inform the cashier that you wish to redeem the Welcome Reward. For online redemption, you must ensure that you are logged in to your Beauty Pass Account at the point of purchase, and select the Welcome Reward before checkout. Limited to one Welcome Reward per person, upon first-time qualification of Sephora Black status in your membership lifetime . Welcome Reward is non-transferable and must be redeemed within one (1) month from tier qualification. Expired Welcome Reward will not be extended, replaced or exchanged for cash.

6. Sephora Birthday 2X Points
All Sephora Members will earn 2X points (“Birthday 2X Points”) on one (1) transaction during the Member’s birthday month. Birthday 2X Points offer is valid for one-time redemption in-store in Australia Sephora stores or online at sephora.com.au online at time of purchase . Birthday 2X Points must be redeemed in your country of membership registration or communication country i.e. in-store in Singapore Sephora stores or online at sephora.com.au. Birthday 2X Points offer is non-transferable, and must be redeemed during the Member’s birthday month. Expired Birthday 2X Points offer will not be extended, replaced or exchanged for cash. For in-store redemption, you must present your virtual Beauty Pass card on the Sephora Mobile App and inform the cashier that you wish to redeem the Birthday 2X Points offer. 7. Sephora Birthday Gift
Sephora Black and Gold Members will receive a complimentary birthday gift (“Birthday Gift”) during the Member’s birthday month. 8. Sephora Gold Complimentary Custom Makeovers Offer
Sephora Gold members will receive complimentary custom makeovers at Sephora stores in Australia. Limited to one (1) complimentary custom makeover per month. An appointment is required and is subject to store availability and scheduling. Offer has no value and is not redeemable for merchandise. Offer is non-transferable. Offer is subject to change, alteration, or termination by Sephora in its sole discretion by giving reasonable notice on the website and/or by email. Please check the website regularly for updates.
9. Other Offers
Membership in the Program may entitle you to various offers ("Offers") in addition to Rewards. The details of these Offers are set out from time to time on the Program Website. Details and terms of any Offers as set out on the Program Website are valid for a calendar year unless otherwise specified on the Program Website.
10. Agreeing to Sephora's Privacy Policy & Email
Sephora values your privacy. Our collection of your personal information and how we use it is governed by Sephora's Privacy Policy in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Details from your application for Membership (including personal information) will be collected and used for the purposes of administering the Program (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and administering the Program who may be located in countries as set out in Sephora’s Privacy Policy and for marketing and data analysis purposes.
By submitting an application for Membership in the Program, you agree (or, if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian agrees) to be bound by Sephora's Privacy Policy, these Terms and online Terms of Use, and to receive marketing materials and other communications from Sephora (if so agreed in your registration form). If you do not wish to receive these communications, you can request that they be discontinued by updating your Membership profile at http://www.sephora.com.au/contact-us or by sending an email to mailto:contact@sephora.com.au. If we do not collect your personal information you will not be able to become a member of the Program. Additional personal information collected from members, such as purchase history and credit card information, will only be used and disclosed by Sephora for the purposes of administering the Program, internal analysis for marketing purposes, and as otherwise permitted by Sephora's Privacy Policy. Sephora's Privacy Policy includes details about how to access your personal information and have it corrected, as well as how to make any complaints regarding our conduct in relation to your personal information and how we will deal with such complaints. 11. Changes, Termination & Removal From Program
If for any reason this Program is not capable of running as planned (including in the event of fraud or attempted fraud), Sephora reserves the right in its absolute discretion to modify the terms of the Program including the Rewards and these Terms, or to suspend or terminate the Program. In the event of such modification, suspension or termination, Sephora will notify the members of the Program via email and/or our website. Members will not receive any compensation from Sephora in the event of modification or suspension of the Program.
Any abuse of the Program, failure to follow any terms of the Program, any misrepresentation or any conduct detrimental to the interests of Sephora, or fraud or attempted fraud, may subject members to Membership revocation and will affect eligibility for further participation in the Program.
Membership is non-transferable and Membership purchases must be made by the member. If your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled (whether by you or Sephora in accordance with these Terms), or if the Program is terminated, any Points in your account will automatically expire.
It is your responsibility to check or review these Terms from time to time to keep informed of any changes. In the event that the Terms of the Program change, you may choose to cancel your Membership through your Membership profile or by sending an email to mailto:contact@sephora.com.au..
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sephora will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your participation or Membership in the Program, including damages arising out of changes to or termination of the Program or as a result of you redeeming and/or using a Reward. This applies to all damages of any kind, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
To the extent permitted by law, the limitations on Sephora's liability set forth herein shall apply whether for breach or repudiation of contract, or whether in tort, civil liability by way of negligence, gross negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. By agreeing to these terms, you willingly agree (or, if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian willingly agrees) that you have relinquished your right to seek these damages from Sephora and that this is a reasonable allocation of risk. You may have certain rights in respect of goods or services provided in accordance with these Terms that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These Terms must be read subject to these statutory provisions.
13. Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copyright, trademarks, patents, design rights and all other forms of intellectual property rights existing in the world) of all Program content and all software used in connection with the Program is the property of and are owned by or licensed to Sephora or its affiliates. Nothing in these Terms constitutes a transfer of any intellectual property rights. Unless otherwise indicated on a particular part of the Program materials, permission is granted to electronically copy and to print in hard copy portions of the Program materials for the sole purpose of accessing the Program and the services provided therein for personal use. Any other use of Program materials - including reproduction, modification, distribution, republishing, transmission, display or performance - without the prior written permission of Sephora is strictly prohibited.
14. Applicable Law
The Program and these Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales in Australia, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of laws. You hereby consent (or, if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian hereby consents) to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts having authority over matters arising in New South Wales in all disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Program.
